With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn Tietz of Bismarck, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2026 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Schmidt and Ida Schmidt (Enzi); her husband Dean E. Tietz; her brothers, Ervin Schmidt and Harry Schmidt; her nephew Keith Schmidt; and her great-niece Jessica Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Tietz (Lori Wolff) of Bismarck, Daryl Tietz (Lori) of Bismarck, Michele Mills (Sean) of Fresno, CA and Sharilyn Duppong (Deno Muller) of Bismarck; her grandchildren, Brennan Mills, Easton Mills, Gina Tietz, James Tietz and Riley Mueller; and her sisters, Lyla Skaggs and Scharlott Walter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
