He was predeceased by: his father Edward Backer (Gail Sailer). He is survived by: his mother Patricia Backer (Sabot); and his sibling's children, Roberta Backer, Rebecca Percell (Gerry), Rita Backer, Radene Backer, Rachelle Vail (Kevin) and Rhonda Backer. He is also survived by his mother, his sisters, his extended family and many friends.
