He is survived by: his wife LaVerne Winn; his children, Karen Schmidt (Fred) of Bismarck, ND, James Rivinius (Karen Werner) of Federal Way, WA and Deborah Jackson (Dan) of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Jeremy Schmidt (Brooke), Jason Schmidt (Ellie), Darren Schmidt (April), Kacie Miller (Blair) and Kayla Olson (Mark); his great grandchildren, Bryn, Luke and Will Schmidt; and his grandchildren, Huck, Heath Schmidt, Bode, Jade Schmidt, Wyatt Miller, Martin and Mike Olson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and several cousins.
