He is survived by: his wife Donna; his sons, Darren Martel (Lorie) and Brandon Martel (Jessica); his stepchildren, Jessica Bosworth (Kevin), Jocelyn Zent (Brandon) and Tyler Kuhn (Rachael Yarbrough); his grandchildren, Morgan, Annika Nelson (Blake), Hannah, Noah, Derek, Levi, Trinity, Christopher, Kateri Martel, Callie, Brooklyn, Kylin, Beau, Bria Zent and Hawkins Wheeler; his siblings, Dorothy Mahoney, Linda Jose (Dean) and Jocelyn Guthmiller; his siblings-in-law, Josie Dentinger (Jim), Linda Krebs (Aaron), Ed (Marina), Larry (Darla), Tim (Carmy), Eugene (Gail) and Bob Kuntz; his siblings, Rosie Bohn (Frank), Harold Martel (Annette), Jackie Hoffmann (Rudy), Delores Mittleider (Johnnie), Ruth Martel and Rick Martel (Patty); and his brothers-in-law, Thomas Mahoney (Rose) and Delton Guthmiller.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Legacy United Methodist Church (4600 Durango Dr, Bismarck, ND 58503). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery (1825 46th St, Mandan, ND 58554).
