The memory of Mitchell Bures of Bismarck, North Dakota, who passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 75, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bures and Leonard Bures; his son Randy Putman; and his brother Leonard Dale. He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Gary Putman (Mary Jo), Renae Weatherspoon, Steve Putman (Cathy) and Mike Putman (Cheryl); his sister Loni Willis; his sibling's children, Brandi Stensos (Jason), Brian Willis (Audra) and Corey Willis (Ashley); his grandchildren, Katie Brettin (Jorrie), Nathan Weatherspoon, Jayden Frey, Josh Weatherspoon (Courtney), Dylan Putman (Rebekah), Dustin Putman, Alana Putman, Mike Putman and Michelle Siverson (Zach); and his great grandchildren, Maeve, Hank Brettin and Louise Weatherspoon.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Springan Stevenson Funeral Home (120 12th Ave SE, Stanley, ND 58784). A vigil service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church (426 2nd St SE, Stanley, ND 58784).
Memorial Contribution. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity or cause of choice in Mitchell's memory.
