He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Schmidt and Loretta Schmidt (Hemmelgarn); his children, Scott Schmidt (Cassandra), Randy Schmidt (Susan), Craig Schmidt (Kari) and Kris Ehrmantraut-Holte (Jeff); and his wife Patricia L. Schmidt (Mohr). He was also cherished by 4 children, 14 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
