She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul "Jack" Strong and Alberta Strong (Hayes); her in-laws, Roy and Irene Veit of Dupree, SD; her sister Betty Lou; her siblings-in-law, Anton Kost, Jim Bennett, Linda Veit and Jerry Veit; her brother Frank; her siblings-in-law, Brenda Veit and George Lafferty; her niece Cheryl Hamilton; and her cousins, Ralph and Buck Scheele.

She is survived by: her son Matt Justin (Kendra) of Malta, Montana; her husband Daniel Veit; her daughter Penny Hetletved (Lee) of Bismarck; her grandchildren, Nathan Veit (Mariah) of Malta, Montana, Reed Veit (Hannah) of Roundup, Montana, Kinley Hetletved and Hatley Hetletved of Bismarck; and her sister Lois Bennett of Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Paula has asked that any memorials be given to the youth ministry of Inspire Family Fellowship Church of Bismarck, ND.
