He is survived by: his wife Eileen Haider; his children, Kelli of Phoenix, James "Gus" of Fargo, Richard of Dickinson, Robert of Bismarck and Konni (Leroy) of Minneapolis; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Pickard of Indianapolis, Mandy Stephens (Jamie) of Phoenix, Hallie Knuth (Heath) of Bismarck and Xavier Vasquez of Minneapolis; and his great grandchildren, Mila, Robbie and Lena. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
