It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Wurtz of Bismarck, North Dakota, who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Gjesdal and Antonia "Toni" Gjesdal (Baumgartner); her daughter Anita Gjesdal; and her in-laws, Richard Wurtz, Sr. and Dorothy Wurtz.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Wurtz of Plaza; her children, Heather Keller (Russ), Gary Wurtz (Jess) and Christopher Wurtz (Amanda); her grandchildren, Avery Wurtz, Noah Keller, Breckyn Wurtz, Elise Keller, Greta Keller, Gabriel Wurtz, Camryn Wurtz, Abigail Wurtz and Demry Wurtz; and her siblings, Renae Kennedy of Loveland, CO, Debora Schieffer of Sidney, MT, Brian Gjesdal of Oak Harbor, WA, Barry Gjesdal of Havre, MT and Wayne Gjesdal. She is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
