He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George K Pfeiffer and Alverna Fuchs Pfeiffer; his spouse Alvilda Unruh; his sister Mary Ann Arnott of Iola; his nieces, Amy Arnott of St. Louis and Amanda Arnott of Newport Coast; his granddaughter Jessica Unruh of Bismarck; and his daughter-in-law Mei Unruh of Bismarck.
After Alvilda became ill with Alzheimer's disease, he went every day to see her and take her a cookie, pudding or fruit cup.
