He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Nix and Amelia "Molly" Anderson Nix; and his siblings, Hermione Lasch (Earl) and Tom Nix. He is survived by: his wife Lavonne Nix; his child Jody Schily (Gary) of Mobridge, SD; his granddaughter Jill Ford (Nathan); his children, Taro Jo Peterson (Ryan), Kala Troyer (Ronny), Krista Gosch (Josh) and Dr. Ronda Green (Chris) of Rapid City, SD; his grandchildren, Christopher Green, Michael Green, Erin Green and Alexander Green; his daughters, Sherri Smith (Corey) of Horace, ND and Lori Halbert (Gary) of Gwinner, ND; his grandson Cole Sweet; his child Shawn Nix (Loretta) of Steele, ND; his grandchildren, Shawna Nix and Wyant Nix; his sister Gloria Ruhnke (David) of West Fargo; and his sister-in-law Caral Nix of Surprise, AZ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and 11 great-grandchildren.
