It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Nelson (Bismarck, North Dakota), who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Eck and Enola Eck (Lundin); her siblings, Dr. Charles Eck, James Eck and Virginia Eck; her husband Ted Nelson; and her child Darcie Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Schneider (Jeremy) of Cold Spring, MN and James Nelson (Alexandra) of Chicago, IL; her son-in-law Dale Cox of Bellingham, WA; her grandchildren, Jason Schneider, Nathan Schneider (Hannah), Gabriella Nelson, Isabella Nelson, Reese Cox and Alden Cox; and her siblings, Enola Cassel and Donavan Eck. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
