With sadness, we share the passing of Warren Bien of Bismarck, North Dakota. Warren, born on September 19, 1945, passed away on July 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Bien and Dorothea Bien (Schulz); and his siblings, Arlow, Donald, Karen Maynard and Diane Rennie.
He is survived by: his sons, John Warren (Melissa) of Sioux Falls, SD and Jason David (Jessica) of Bismarck, ND; his wife Kathleen Messmer; his grandchildren, Kelsey Bedard, Tiffany Bien, Xavier Bedard, Ben Bien and Natalie Bien; his sisters, Evonne Meyhoff of Shakopee, MN, Careadell Richter of Detroit Lakes, MN, Janet Cincush (Paul) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Ranae Sexton of Detroit Lakes, MN and Corrine Munson of Bloomington, MN; his sister-in-law Kathy Bien of Bismarck, ND; and his friends, Flopper, Bella and Molly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to organizations that were part of Warren's life.
