He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Almer and Eva Almer (Schick); his wife Jennie Bennett; his children, Dale Almer and Roxann Giles; and his grandson Scott Knudson.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Almer, Brenda Fetting (Mark), Barry Almer (Lisa) and Becky Thrall (Cory); his children-in-law, Linda and Stephen; his sister-in-law Violet; and his son-in-law Mark. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, including those from his daughter.
