He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Potratz and Josephine Potratz; his daughter Linda; his wife Ruth Lillian Krueger of Clermont, Iowa.; and his daughters, Eloise Potratz and Leora Herrmann.
He is survived by: his children, Willis, Ruth, Steven (Laurie) and Nathan (Tracey); his son-in-law Tim Herrmann; his grandchildren, Rebecca Irwin (Jesse), Steven Potratz (Eden), TJ Herrmann (Dani), David Herrmann (Sophia), Kelsey Dennis (Chad) and Allie Bourque (Tim); his great grandchildren, Conner Potratz (Emma), Jenna Potratz, Jaxon, Madyson Herrmann, Adam, Carly Bourque, Haylee Dennis, Max, Jack Irwin and Tov Lee-Herrman; and his great great grandchildren, Luke and Evelynn Potratz.
