He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Bergman and Elizabeth Bergman (Fraser); and his siblings, Lynne Boettcher (Gary) and Ralph. He is survived by: his wife Karen Shelton; his children, Pamela VenHuizen (Kelly), Todd (Michelle) and Jeffrey; his grandchildren, Ashley Bergman, Reed Bergman, Ryan Bergman, Jack VenHuizen and Klaire VenHuizen; his siblings, Kenneth (Marian), Ronald (Sandee), James (Marilyn), Carol Lindekugel (Douglas), Alda Carter (Jack), Sally Duval (David) and Lois Bergman (Tim); and his sister-in-law Jan Bergman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to the Bottineau County Veteran's Hall, Turtle Mountain Cancer Support or an organization of your choice.
