We are sad to announce that on May 14, 2026, at the age of 98, Pete Naaden of Braddock, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thore Naaden and Birdie Naaden (Tracy); his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Mary Geralyn, Ellen and Mark; his son-in-law Gary Anderson; his grandchildren, Anne Sprynczynatyk, Craig Hystad and Raymond Naaden; his great grandchild Isla Lunde; and his siblings, Christian, Burton, Theodore, Bjorne, Mame Eilertson, Olga Fallgatter and Susie Sherritt.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Karls (Ken) of Bismarck, ND, Gail Geddes (John) of Broomfield, CO, Connie Sprynczynatyk (David) of Bismarck, ND, Janice Hystad (Jerry) of Helena, MT, Nita Anderson of Riverdale, ND, Laurie Miller (Steve) of Scottsdale, AZ, Carol Weiler (Dan) of Minneapolis, MN, Jeanne Flaherty (Dan) of Watertown, SD and David (Denise) of June Lake, CA; and his children-in-law, Tami of Braddock, ND and Randy Wissink of Spring, TX. He is also survived by 59 grandchildren, 102 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 7:30 AM at the Parkway Funeral Service (2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, ND 58503). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Katherines Catholic Church (200 1st Ave, Braddock, ND 58524).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Katherine Catholic Church, Braddock, University of Mary or the Bismarck Diocese Fund for Seminary Education.
