He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Vernon and Lois Audrey Schmidt (Hyatt); and his brother Gary Schmidt. He is survived by : his significant other Mary Schmidt; his daughters, Laura Heinle (Robert) of Willow Lake, SD and Elizabeth Trainer (Jason) of Terre Haute, IN; his grandchildren, Payton, Josiah, Asher, Isabell and Xzavier Heinle; his children, Tucker and Jax Trainer; his brother David Schmidt (Susan Carlson); and his sister-in-law Vicki Schmidt.
