Luverne Vettel Obituary
We bid farewell to Luverne Vettel of Caledonia, North Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 4, 2025 at the age of 85. Luverne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Eidsmoe and Ethel Eidsmoe (Englestad); her brother Myles Eidsmoe; and her brother-in-law Thomas Vettel (John Aanden). She is survived by: her husband James; her children, Timothy Vettel (Sherri) of Westminster, CO, Christopher Vettel of Caledonia, ND, Pamela Koehmstedt (Matthew) of West Fargo, ND and Jeffrey Vettel (Marcia) of Rochester, MN; her grandchildren, Matthew Vettel (Anita) of Goddard, KS, Maggie Waldbillig (Derek) of West St, Emily Medawar (Traven) of Rochester, MN, Noah Vettel of Johnston, IA and Myles Vettel of Rochester, MN; her sister Arlene Aanden; and her sisters-in-law, Marian Eidsmoe and Linda Vettel. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (503 3rd St SE, Hillsboro, ND 58045). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In honor of Luverne, memorials can be made to the Caledonia Cemetery.
