He is survived by : his mother Gladys Freund (Elverud) of Cando, ND; and his siblings, Dennis Freund of Cando, ND, Janis Sorge of Devils Lake, ND, David Freund of Cando, ND, Robert Freund of Bonners Ferry, ID, Joann Rinas (Michael) of Cando, ND, Beverly Robinson (Ricky) of Leeds, ND, Brent Freund of Cando, ND, Gary Freund of Cando, ND and Gail Hill of Bismarck, ND. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to T.C. USBC for youth bowlers and the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund.
