With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maurice Askvig (Carpio, North Dakota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2025 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Askvig and Ora Askvig (Anderson); his siblings, Michael, Cynthia and Cathy; and his niece Michelle.

He is survived by: his wife Chastity Zablotney; his children, Tristan Thompson (Jewel), Siri Van Horn (Ty), Reidun and Cimarron Askvig; his brother Martin Askvig; and his grandson Wayne Van Horn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family.
