We announce the death of Dwight R Westman of Cavalier, North Dakota, who passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 85. Dwight will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Westman (Nelson) and J. Russell Westman; his siblings, David and Shirley; his son Brian; and his former wife Sherry.
He is survived by: his close friend Paul Vogt; his wife Jean; his sister Sharon; his children, Steve (Katrina), Susan (Jason), Andrea (Todd) and Brad (Ellie); his stepchildren, Paulette (John) and David (Janelle); his grandchildren, Mace (Regan), Annika, Julia, Clare, Andrew, Christina and Taylor; and his great grandchild Asher. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends, former colleagues, fishing companions.
