He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Askew and Edna Askew (Horsley); and his siblings, Melvin, Russell, Adrian Askew, Doreen Bahr and Ivadele Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean; his son Tom Askew (Kristy Voecks); his grandchildren, Patrick Askew (Sadie), Anthony Askew (Alyssa) and Nicole Askew; his great grandchildren, Niam, Vaya, Acen Askew, Parker and Eli Askew; and his sister Grace Robbie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to United Lutheran Church, Faith in Action, or the Cavalier Ambulance Service.
