She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Johnson and Laura Johnson; and her brothers, Randy, Kenneth and Loren.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Gustafson; her children, Penny (Duane), Denny (Shanda) and Brian (Katie); her grandchildren, Chemiati, Tatiana, Hunter, Rylie, James and Jonah; and her great grandchildren, Landon, Paysen and Alauna.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Askew Funeral Home (209 Elizabeth St W, Cavalier, ND 58220). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Andvari Cemetery.
On April 18, 1989, exactly 36 years to the day before her passing; she was awarded a Certificate of Commendation in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the military community.
