He was predeceased by: his parents, Caroline Holwagner and Broeckel; and his brother-in-law Ron Gessele. He is survived by: his wife Charelette Holwagner of Bismarck; his sons, Kelly Holwagner (Tracy) of Fargo and Kyle Holwagner (Jeannene) of Bismarck; his grandchildren, Kelsi Holwagner of Golden, CO, Casey Holwagner of Underwood, MN, Wyatt Holwagner (Steph) of Boulder, CO and Grace Holwagner of Boise, ID; and his sister-in-law Constance Gessele of Bismarck. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 9:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (408 9th St NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery (4606 State Hwy 1806, Mandan, ND 58554).
