He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Sandvik and Sarah Sandvik; his wife Julie; his daughter Brenda Starke; and his grandson-in-law Adam Henry.
He is survived by: his daughter Kitty Hare (Roger); his son-in-law Clinton Starke; his grandchildren, Scott Hare (Lori), Brett Hare (Robyn), Kristin Reinarz (Shawn), Joshua Starke, Tyler Starke, Megan Bosh (Chris), Alyssa Denman (Joe), Hillary Clark (Adam) and Audra Starke; his great grandchildren, Blaine, Cayden (Grace), Christopher, Nicholas, Nathan and Charlie Hare; his great great grandchild Kysen Hare; and his sisters-in-law, Charlotte Sandvik and Bonnie McClafin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1104 Roberts Ave NW, Cooperstown, ND 58425). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
