With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Lorraine (Shaw) Kargel (Cooperstown, North Dakota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2025 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Shaw and Lenore Shaw (Nordby); her brothers, Donald and John; and her father-in-law Duane Kargel.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Kargel (Michelle), Kim Tweten, Keith Kargel (Katie) and Kirsten Beck (Dave); her grandchildren, Carrie Ruppert (Jeremy), Christopher Kargel (Katie), Ahipara, Alicia Artley (Jason), Alexandra Tweten, Zachary Tweten, Dylan Beck, Ian Kargel (Larissa), McKenzie Kargel and Anastasia Tweten; her great grandchildren, Garren Colegrove (Nicole), Ian Artley, Amelia Beck and Cloud Tweten; her great great grandchildren, Harley Jo Colegrove and Madison Colegrove; her sister-in-law Helen Shaw of Baton Rouge, LA; and her nephew James Shaw of Loranger, LA..
