He is survived by: his wife Crystal; his children, Jourdyn, Trek, Ruger and Garrett; his parents, Michael Flatt and Cynthia Flatt (Weisz); his in-laws, Connie Rode and Paul Buchholz; his siblings, Matthew Flatt (Terrah) and Kayla Henderson (Preston); and his siblings-in-law, Michele Brown (Luke), Nate Buchholz (Dana), Scott Rufsvold (Alysia), Alyshia Thompson (Laughlin), Tiffany Dobson (Dallas) and John Hatcher.

A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooperstown Country Club (305 Fairway Dr, Cooperstown, ND 58425). A prayer was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
