It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George J. Whelan of Crystal, North Dakota, who passed away on July 5, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Joseph "Joe" and Marion Whelan (Colby); and his granddaughter Anna Whelan Sjursen. He is survived by : his wife Mae Severson; his sons, Jeffrey Whelan (Greta) of Crystal, ND and Douglas Whelan (Barbara) of Crystal, ND; his granddaughters, Kate Suda (Derrick) of Grafton, ND and Grace Whelan of Fargo, ND; his great grandchildren, Nadia Sjursen and Cole Suda; his brother Richard Whelan (Cleone) of Crystal, ND; and his sisters-in-law, Rose Boyum (Kenny) and Betty Tryan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
