Alta Bloomquist Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 10, 2020, at the age of 83, Alta Bloomquist (Devils Lake, North Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Arthur Lindaas; her husband Carl Bloomquist; her stepfather Rudy Sorenson; her mother Nellie Sorenson (Bottolfson); her siblings, Oliver Lindaas and Hannah; and her siblings-in-law, Frank Scholler, Ione Jennings (Norman), Dale Bloomquist, Jim Bloomquist and Betty.

She is survived by: her son Rudi Bloomquist (Dianne); her granddaughters, Michelle Thomas (Phil) of Fargo, ND, Traci Todahl and Didier Hirwantwari of Kettering, OH; her great grandchildren, Caleb Thomas and Maddox West; her sibling's children, Annie Saling of Paradise, CA, Libby Rolnick of Novato, CA, John Jennings of San Jose, CA, Siggie Stillman (Phil) of Newcastle, CA, Elsa Guiney (Tom) of Portland, OR, Cecelia Lingle (Ken) of Colorado Springs, CO, Caryl Rutten (Bob) of Bismarck, ND and CJ Bloomquist of Devils Lake, ND; and also Norway.

Due to the travel and gathering restrictions caused by the covid-19 virus, there can be no traditional funeral.

Any monetary gifts should be directed to St Olaf Church in Devils Lake ND, the ND Bull Session endowment at Lake Region State College in Devils Lake, or to a charity of your choice.
