He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonas John and Anna Kristine Aanstad (Stenstad); his grandson Jason; his sister Avis Aanstad; and also, Lauren Lichtenbarger and Bernice Lichtenbarger.
He is survived by: his wife Rena; his children, Maureen Meyer of Longsdale, MN, Joel Aanstad (Pamela), Brian Aanstad (Michelle), Purnell Aanstad and Bradley Aanstad (Patti Peterson); and his grandchildren, Amy, Gary, Shelly, Cory, Travis, Austin, Katie, Luke, Josh, Melissa, Robert, Deidre, Laura and Bobby Aanstad. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
