She was predeceased by: her father Lawrence Carpenter; and her husband Mark Kartes. She is survived by: her mother Gloria Carpenter of Dickey; her children, Stacie Kartes (Erik Hansen) of Redmond, WA, Mandy Kartes (Allan Erickson) of West Fargo, Steven Kartes (Chrissy) of Dickey and Laine Kartes of Berwyn, IL; her grandchildren, Sophie Hansen, Brody Erickson, Amalie Stalker, Seri Kartes, Sawyer Kartes and Hazel King; and her siblings, Larry Carpenter, Michelle Carpenter, David Carpenter, Susan Scherf, Jeff Carpenter, Melissa Godlewski and Jeannette Nutter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eddy Funeral Home (621 1st Ave S, Jamestown, ND 58401). A vigil service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Assumption Catholic Church (106 2nd St, Dickey, ND 58431). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery (9275 60th St SE, Dickey, ND 58431).
For those who would prefer to give a memorial, the family plans to use contributions to plant trees in Corine's memory around her home in Dickey.
