He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Corneil and Hilda Corneil; his wife Janice "Jan" Corneil; his son Todd Corneil; and his brother Gene Corneil.
He is survived by: his daughter Crystal DeWitt (Doug) of Gainesville, Georgia; his daughter-in-law Ella-Jo Corneil of Medora; his sister-in-law Nancy Corneil of Spokane, Washington.; and his grandchildren, Christopher DeWitt (Mary Kate), Courtney Flohr (Sam), Katie Rapp, Camron and Carter Corneil. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
He served on the North Dakota Teachers' Fund for Retirement Board of Trustees, the Presidents Club of the Roughriders, and the Dickinson State University Foundation.
