She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Shern and Edith Shern (Lundy); her husband Harold Lien of Redeemer's Lutheran Church; her sisters, Irene Bohlman, Bernice Huether and Beatrice Jones; her grandchildren, Rhonda Starling, Cody Perfett, Dustin Perfett and Corie Lien; and her great grandchild Jaxon Wiederholt.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Wells (Denis), Donna Lien, Sandra Lien, Lyle Lien (Pat), Ruth Klein (Kevin), Delores "Lori" Privratsky (Steven), Alton Lien (Tammy), Rita Frank (Bill), Kevin Lien (Terri), Carla Messer (Jim) and Curtis Lien. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New England Lions Club or the New England Ambulance.
