He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Simon and Ellen Simon (Wieglenda); and his brothers, Joseph, Jon and James.
He is survived by: his daughter Rachael Simon of Minot, ND; his stepgrandsons, Gavin and Garret Krout; and his siblings, Mary Ullrich (Gary) of Grand Forks, ND, Elizabeth Bechtle (James) of Lincoln, NE and Adrian Jr. Simon (Collette) of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to Trinity Cancer Care Center, Minot.
