He is survived by : his parents, Jared Gietzen of Dickinson and Megan Gietzen (Johns); his sisters, Brooke and Shay; his grandparents, Todd, Christine Johns of Dickinson, Keith and Sherrie Gietzen of Glen Ullin; his great-grandparent Charlene Thomas; his aunts and uncles, Nicole, Eric Kittelson, Janell, John Morman and Jenny Gietzen (Zach); and his cousins, Jalyn, Harper Kittelson, Hadley and Lane Morman.
In lieu of flowers, Ty's family encourages donations made in Ty's memory to the Children's Miracle Network, Ronald McDonald House of North Dakota, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, or another children's charity of your choice.
