With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leon G. Goettle of Donnybrook, North Dakota, born in Kenmare, North Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Leon left this world on December 2, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Smith; his brothers, Jack and Jim Goettle; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Goettle, LeAnn Goettle (Klein), Len Voigt and Murvin Brown.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lawrence Goettle (Nancy), Daniel Goettle, Joyce Bly (Andy), Margaret Goettle, Laureen Klein (Robert) and Monica Dessonville (Ron); and his sisters-in-law, Doris Goettle and MaryJo Goettle of Troy, MT. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
