We are sad to announce that on April 20, 2025, at the age of 86, Doug Richman of Douglas, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Richman and Agnes Richman (Corby); his siblings, Peter Richman and Liane; his brothers-in-law, Dick Denton, Gerald Rygg and David Rygg; his niece Ingrid Nelson; and his grandson Bradley Scott Struble.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Rygg of Paul's Lutheran Church; his son Kevin; his daughter-in-law Amy of Plainfield, IL; his grandchildren, Anthony Parkhurst (Rebecca Loague) of Moline, IL, Francis and Adrianna Richman of Plainfield, IL; his daughter Becky; his son-in-law Mark Struble of Floyds Knobs, IN; his grandchildren, Heather, Isaac Andes of Floyds Knobs, IN, Adam and Taylor Struble of Bloomington, IN; his son Jon; his daughter-in-law Andrea of Oriska, ND; his grandchildren, James (Meagan Stock) of Oriska, ND, Corby of Oriska, ND, Sarah of Oriska, ND and Evan Richman of Oriska, ND; his son Eric; his daughter-in-law Kristi of Argusville, ND; his grandchildren, Bree Olson of Scottsdale, AZ, Brady Richman of Fargo, ND and Abby Richman of Tempe, AZ.; his great grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Bronson Parkhurst (Anthony), Dallas Andes, Jace and Acre Richman; his sister Claudia; his brother-in-law David Nelson of Dixon, IL; his brother Kenneth; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Richman of Story City, IA, Karen Richman of Valley City, ND, Nancy Rygg of Philadelphia, PA and Marty Rygg of Sacramento, CA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Free Lutheran Church (2351 W Main St, Valley City, ND 58072). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
