He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Bernice Henry (LeCompte); his children, Francine Henry, Richard Henry Sr. and Gary Henry (Frank); his granddaughter Angel Davis; and his siblings, Loretta Vivier, Betty Summers, Joyce Camrud, Vivian Keplin, Melvin Henry, Brian Henry and Jimmy Henry.
He is survived by: his children, Felicia Parisien (Brady) of Dunseith, Eric Henry of Dunseith, Joshua Henry (Jen) of Dunseith, Tim DeCoteau (Shaylor) of Belcourt and Ashley Henry (Scott) of Minot; and his siblings, Ted Henry (MaryAnn) of Dunseith, Patrick "Jay" Henry (Patty) of Belcourt, Mark Henry of Dunseith, Brenda Henry of Billings, MT and Doraldine Henry of Billings, MT. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center.
