In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Zelma had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Zelma may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Laverdure and Delima Laverdure (Delonais); her spouse Francis J. Peliter; and her siblings, Alice Henry, Shirley Morin (Paul), Richard Laverdure and Billy Laverdure.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bernice Smith (Harvey) of Belcourt and Duane; and her sister-in-law Sharon Henry of Belcourt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (1115 Louis Riel Dr, Belcourt, ND 58316). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
