Shorty Hartman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shorty Hartman of Edgeley, North Dakota, who passed away on February 16, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Shorty may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shorty touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hartman and Adeline Hartman (Schrum); and his sister Darlene Jackson-Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Helen Hartman; his children, Mark Hartman, Joel Hartman (Jessica), Jered Hartman (Robin), Robin Hartman and Leslie Hartman; his sister Janice Templien of Lincoln, NE; and his brother-in-law Gene Hanson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchildren.
