Janis Sorum Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Janis Sorum of Ellendale, North Dakota. Janis, born on July 3, 1938, passed away on August 24, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janis Sorum to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nora Sorum and Arthur Sorum; and her brother Jerry Sorum. She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Nottestad (Tim), Bonnie Rhome (Rob), Tammy Belgarde (David), Dixie Duncan (Cody) and Sherri Borowicz (Wayne); and her brothers, Joel Sorum (Laura), Jeff Sorum (Sue), Jim Sorum (Pat) and Jack Sorum (MariDon). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Lakewood Park (220 Woodland Ave, Devils Lake, ND 58301). A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the LPBC Chapel.
