He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Green-Hinton and Alberta Green-Hinton; his brothers, Ray Jr., Stanley, Gregory and Kenneth Hinton; and his brother-in-law Vallmer Wayman Jordan.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lynn Osborne Hinton; his children, Kellicia Carr (Chevar), Kelly Geister-Hinton (Christine), Kellexus Hinton, Kellrhema Udoetuk (Adam) and Kelle'mon Hinton (Caroline); and his siblings, James Hinton (Jamane) and Vanessa Williams (Ricky).

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hoven Funeral Chapel (300 1st St S, Ellendale, ND 58436). A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Ellendale City Cemetery (9775 90th Ave SE, Ellendale, ND 58436).
