He was predeceased by: his parents, Burnel McDaniel and Dora McDaniel; his wife Mary Lou McDaniel; his brother Robert "Bob" McDaniel; his son-in-law Corwin Waswick; his parents-in-law, Sam and Blanche Adolfs; and his siblings-in-law, Glenn Erickson, Roger Adolfs, Jim Hanna, Henry Henricks, Marilyn McDaniel, Laura Belle Caswell, Darlene Adolfs and Delores Erickson.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Waswick-Potts (Martin), Scott McDaniel (Holly) and Darcy McDaniel (Matthew); his grandchildren, Soren (Hannah), Olivia, Hayden, Hadley, Griffen, Norah, Garrett, Kyle, Aaron and Makayla; his in-laws, Melvin and SueSann Adolfs; and his sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Henricks and Betty Hanna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
