He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Parmer and Carol Parmer (Fauteck); his former wife Paula Sue Rusness; his stepson Tim Markey; his sister Cindy Parmer; and his sister-in-law Peggy Laney.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie of Fargo, ND; his sons, Nathan Parmer (Tracy) and Joseph Parmer (Nancy Ness); his grandchildren, Paula of Fargo, Nathan Jr. of Fargo, Luka of Fargo and Petra Parmer of Fargo; his stepgrandchildren, Rhiannon and Bella; his brothers, Bob Parmer (Bev) and Steve Parmer (Barb); his brothers-in-law, Paul Amstrup (Tanya Burckhard) of Fargo, Pete Amstrup (Leigh Ann) of Fargo and Dave Rusness (Diane) of Fargo; and his mother-in-law Bernice Amstrup of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.
Memorials are preferred to be given to the Shoreham Chapel in Detroit Lakes, MN.
