He is survived by: his parents, James Jacobson (Beverly "Beth") and Donna Rae Jacobson; his son Mathew; his wife Vicki Schneider; his son Matthew Jacobson; his stepchildren, Tanner, Cole, Mackenzie and Drew Kirkpatrick; his stepsiblings, Jeffrey Bomstad, Joel Bomstad and Jana McLean; and his aunts and uncles, Malvern Jacobson (Joan), Ordean Jacobson (Maureen), Luther (Ilene), Elaine Gunderson (Orley) and Linda Lee Nordlund (Kelly).
