He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ladwig and Katherine Ladwig; his wife Mary Lou Ladwig; his siblings, William Ladwig, Ralph Ladwig, Wallace Ladwig, Lyle Ladwig, Charlotte Johnson and Dorothy Scheffler; and his son Keith.

He is survived by: his children, Todd Ladwig of Fargo, ND, James Ladwig of Argusville, ND and Sheryl Dusek (Dave) of Fargo, ND; and his grandchildren, Gabe and Hunter Dusek of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
