He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wilkie and Bessie Wilkie; and his brother Bill Wilkie. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Wilkie; his sons, Scott Wilkie (Christy) of Fargo, ND and Eric Wilkie (Rebekah) of Dilworth, MN; his grandchildren, Madelyn, Max, Emma and Elijah; and his brothers, Jim Wilkie (Pauline) of Colorado Springs, CO and John Wilkie (Sue) of Bloomington, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a newly created fund at the FM Area Foundation called the "Gary Wilkie Memorial Fund (https://fargo.fcsuite.com)".
