We announce the death of Gerald Theodore Lorz of Fargo, North Dakota, born in Harvey, North Dakota, who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 95. Gerald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Presting; his sisters, Lila Cockhill and Barbara Useldinger (Vern); and his daughter-in-law Lana Lorz. He is survived by: his children, Brian Lorz of Fargo, ND and Pamela Bakken (Wayne) of Pelican Rapids, MN; his grandchildren, Trevor Bakken (Angie Lorshbough) of Fargo, ND and Jenna Clark (Brian) of Dayton, MN; and his great grandchildren, Cooper and Cameron.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (619 Broadway N, Fargo, ND 58102). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fargo National Cemetery (8709 40th Avenue North, Co Rd 20, Harwood, ND 58042).
