He was predeceased by: his parents, Haldan Paulson and Anna Paulson (Nilsson); his wife Bernice Johnson; his sons, James and Mark; and his brothers, Norman and Wilmer.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Johnson (Gordy) and Don Paulson (Mary). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley or the Bethany Foundation in Fargo.
